Hola, hoy les traigo un post muy triste, y es que mi gato Yoshi se fue de este plano el domingo 11 de mayo después de una muy larga lucha contra su enfermedad. El mes pasado celebramos que Yoshi cumplía un año de haber sido adoptado, y realmente tenerlo en nuestras vidas aunque fue difícil, fue una experiencia maravillosa. Cuando lo rescaté era pequeño y ya venía con varios problemas, tenía la cola fracturada, los ojos enfermos y estaba mal del estómago. Sin embargo desde que llegó lo llenamos de amor y cuidados, lo llevábamos periodicamente al veterinario, le comprabamos comida de buena calidad y su arena, además de que era muy juguetón. Aunque era algo odioso y ese caracter aumentó al llegar Remy, aun mantenia su cariño hacia nosotros y a Remy lo aceptó como parte de la familia.
Hello, today I come to you with a very sad post, and that is that my cat Yoshi left this plane on Sunday May 11th after a very long fight against his illness. Last month we celebrated Yoshi's one year anniversary of being adopted, and really having him in our lives although it was difficult, it was a wonderful experience. When I rescued him he was small and already had several problems, he had a fractured tail, sick eyes and was sick to his stomach. However, from the moment he arrived we filled him with love and care, we took him periodically to the vet, we bought him good quality food and his litter, besides he was very playful. Although he was a bit obnoxious and that character increased when Remy arrived, he still kept his affection towards us and Remy accepted him as part of the family.
Fueron meses maravillosos, pero a inicios de diciembre del 2024 Yoshi comenzó a tener sintomas muy raros, todo comenzó con una herida en el ojo que no se curaba, pero fue avanzando hasta estar decaido y sin comer, para luego sufrir de problemas estomacales graves y así estuvo todo diciembre. Lo llevábamos a varios veterinarios a lo largo de estos meses, le hicimos muchos examenes y aun asi, nadie nos daba una respuesta clara de lo que tenía. Él mejoraba por un tiempo, pero luego desmejoraba mucho. Estuvo asi hasta su último día, semanas atrás parecía haber mejorado, jugaba, comía, caminaba por ahí y hacia travesuras, de la nada desmejoro de una manera tan drástica que no aguantó más. Hicimos lo imposible, lo llevamos a todos los veterinarios que podíamos, le hicimos radiografias, ecografias, le dimos las medicinas que nos indicaban pero aun asi, nunca supimos que podía tener exactamente. Aun así, le dimos todo lo que estaba a nuestro alcance para que a pesar de todo, se sintiera bien y querido, hasta sus ultimos momentos fue cariñoso y mantuvo su peculiar personalidad.
They were wonderful months, but at the beginning of December 2024 Yoshi began to have very strange symptoms, it all started with a wound in his eye that did not heal, but it progressed until he was in decline and not eating, and then he suffered from severe stomach problems and he was like that all December. We took him to several vets during these months, we did many tests and even so, nobody gave us a clear answer of what he had. He got better for a while, but then he got much worse. He was like this until his last day, weeks ago he seemed to have improved, he was playing, eating, walking around and making mischief, but suddenly he deteriorated so drastically that he could not stand it anymore. We did the impossible, we took him to all the vets we could, we did x-rays, ultrasounds, we gave him the medicines they indicated, but even so, we never knew exactly what he could have. Even so, we gave him everything in our power so that despite everything, he felt well and loved, until his last moments he was affectionate and kept his peculiar personality.
Realmente Yoshi aguantó mucho, hicimos hasta lo imposible por él, pero todos los veterinarios concuerdan en que él había nacido con esos problemas y en parte, parecía inevitable. Solo tenia un añito, queria verlo crecer más, que durara mas tiempo, pero no se pudo. No obstante, como dicen mis padres, mi novio y algunos veterinarios, él tuvo la buena fortuna de que lo rescatamos, ya que teniendo esos problemas de nacimiento hubiese vivido menos tiempo, en la calle y sin amor. Este año que estuvo con nosotros recibió todo el amor del mundo y más, tanto de nosotros como de su compañero Remy. Me duele muchísimo su pérdida, pero a su vez me alegra saber que ya no sufre, estoy tranquila de saber que de verdad hicimos lo posible y que se fue sabiendo que lo adorábamos mucho. Te querré siempre, Yoshi.
Yoshi really endured a lot, we did the impossible for him, but all veterinarians agree that he was born with these problems and in part, it seemed inevitable. He was only one year old, I wanted to see him grow more, to see him last longer, but it was not possible. However, as my parents, my boyfriend and some veterinarians say, he had the good fortune that we rescued him, because having those birth problems he would have lived less time, in the street and without love. This year that he was with us he received all the love in the world and more, both from us and his companion Remy. It hurts me so much to know that he is no longer suffering, I am happy to know that we really did our best and that he left knowing that we adored him so much. I will love you always, Yoshi.
