How are you gamers? I hope everyone is doing well. Today I saw an ad on Epic Games for a game called Crystal of Atlan, with a very, very similar aesthetic to Genshing Impact, and well, I said let's download it, it's only 16 GB, why not? So I downloaded it without any expectations, and well, what a surprise.

It looks like a game developed by the same developers as Genshing Impact, practically due to the aesthetics of the characters, the graphics, and in some ways the gameplay, but that's precisely what, for me, is the improvement. I mean, the combat system is completely different; it feels like a classic fighting game despite being a hack-and-slash action combat game. It feels very classic, fluid, and without any interruptions, and I really liked that.

It's something that's particularly noticeable in the game from the moment you enter. I think the introduction hooked me right away because they have you try out all the classes in one fell swoop, like in their ultimate form, and it's brutal. You don't have to rack your brains thinking about what and how the character will be through lore. I think that dynamic was very good at keeping me there, wanting to try out all the combat styles.

The swordsman is the class I liked the most. You can then become a blade master or a bersaker. I think I'll go for the latter. The combat style with this character reminds me a lot of the Darksiders fighting style (I don't know if you remember this game; it was one of the great hack-and-slash games from the epic). By the way, in Crystal of Atlantis, the dash is incredibly good. ter allows you to move at speeds that are realistic for the class in question. You think... this is how this guy would move in real life if he were fighting this monster.

I think something that definitely characterized the games of the past was precisely this: the fact that they're logical within their mechanics and feel very unique and natural. Above and beyond the graphics, for me, this is what most immerses you in the game. It's like playing those racing games where the car feels like it weighs nothing, or when the movements in fighting games are clumsy and slow. I think they put a lot of effort into the fighting system. I hope they don't do anything in the future that could ruin it.

The game only weighs 16 GB at the moment. I hope it doesn't reach 200 GB, haha, but who knows? For now, it's really good. If you liked Genshing and stopped playing, this could be a great game option. In my case, when I stopped playing Genshing, it was because of a problem with my old PC. I put it down for a long time and then lost track of it and the excitement of continuing to play it. So, I definitely stopped. But it was a game I really liked up until the point where I played it. So, we'll keep moving forward with this game. I'm playing Yoruda 7 if you want to play with me! Let me know what you think of the game, if you'd like to play it, or if you've already played it! See you in a next post.
