Hi Everyone,

When you think of Thai comfort food, rice porridge and fish noodles is probably on the list and I found Fa Pla Tahn which soothed my cravings of fish and rice porridge in one restaurant. There were lots of choices, everything was fish or seafood related in all sorts of variety. Noodles, rice, soups, steamed, fried, you will find them here.

I ordered a grouper fish fillet rice soup with a side of fried fish skin. I would have tried more dishes but I was only there myself so I shouldn’t order too much. The food came nice and piping hot. The fried fish skin was freshly fried, juicy with a nice fragrant of oil and fish smell. The fish rice soup was just delicious. The soup base was already salty enough but you can add in some condiments like in all Thai restaurants. The fish was very fresh, and sweet and the portion was pretty personable.

Prices here seem steep compared to other foods in Thailand but you are paying for freshness here. It is not your everyday market stalls or food courts. I would try to go again when we have the time but there is just too much good food in Thailand, too many choices here.
