FUN LUNCH WITH MY SISTERS AT SOLARIA ANCOL
A bright afternoon, a happy heart, and a hungry stomach—the perfect combination to take my little sisters to lunch at a place that is not only delicious, but also has a view that makes the heart feel cool. Our choice fell on: Solaria in Ancol, which directly faces the beach! 🏖️✨
As soon as we entered, the atmosphere immediately made us comfortable. As usual, Solaria's minimalist and clean interior. Not to mention the combination of the gentle sea breeze coming in from the large window that directly faces the blue sea water. While waiting for the food to arrive, my little sisters asked to take a photo to upload on their social media, they said when else could it be better, right? haha. So we sat back and took photos while enjoying the view of the calm waves, the clear sky, and the children happily playing in the water. "So much fun," said my youngest sister. I feel like I'm on a short vacation amidst busy work.🍃
💬 NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT THE HIGHLIGHT: THE FOOD!
Because we were all craving fried rice, in the end we each ordered a different menu so we could taste it together (what a family system, right? haha 😄). And here are the three menus that were the stars of that afternoon:
🍤 Seafood Fried Rice (youngest brother's choice)
Just the smell of fried rice makes your tongue impatient. Once served with fresh pieces of squid and shrimp, it tastes delicious and really fits the tongue. It's not really spicy, if you can't eat chili sauce, it's still okay. Plus, the portions are crazy big, making you hungry and full all day.
🌶️ Tomyam Seafood Fried Rice (my own order!)
This is really unique! It really tastes like eating fried rice mixed with dry cooked Tomyam sauce. There is a fresh sour sensation typical of tomyam, plus pieces of seafood such as juicy shrimp and squid. The spiciness kicks but doesn't make you tired—in fact it makes you addicted! My favorite that afternoon.
🦆 Green Chili Duck Fried Rice (middle sister's choice)
Just from its appearance, it's already tempting: shredded duck meat fried crispy and crunchy, drizzled with fragrant green chili sauce that makes your stomach growl. The taste of the fried rice is already delicious, when eaten with duck meat and green chili sauce, the taste is wow, it really kicks! It's spicy, savory and a little sweet which makes your mouth stop chewing. Especially the duck, it's great!
In the middle of the meal, as usual, typical family moments emerged. There were people fighting over spoons, there were people laughing until their drinks spilled because of childhood stories that were suddenly discussed 🤭 But it was the little things like that that made the day special.
Fun bonus: we sat right next to the big window, so while eating we could take pictures with the blue sea, white sand, and super bright sky as the background. My Instagram feed instantly leveled up 💁♀️📷

✅ Food: The fried rice is all top-notch. The portion is just right, the taste never fails.

✅ Price: Still pocket-friendly, especially for an experience as worth-it as this.
💡Tips: If you come here, try to come a bit early so you can get a seat that directly faces the beach. Also bring a hat or sunglasses if you want to continue walking to the beach after eating. That day really felt like a fun mini getaway—full stomachs, happy hearts, and togetherness that made the day more meaningful 💕🌊
