Manticao River is one of the perfect place to visit specially every summer season, in fact lots of people who came from far places likes to visit here spend picnics and camping trips. For today's blog as part of #monomad black and white challenge, allow me to share the black and white photos of the river found here in the Municipality of Manticao, Misamis Oriental. I always passing and crossed by in this place everytime when I went at our place. River is not really safe specially when there is a flood but the residents loves to lived here and the only thing we do is to keep monitoring the water level everytime when there is a flood.
Past Many years and Centuries, This river is not quitely wide and others called it only a stream. But as many years has past and the dry soil keeps eroded, the stream was already completely turned into a big wide river. This place is what we always crossed by so that we can take a shortcut going to our house.
This deep and shallow water is were most of the children went for a swim, the depth was shown after the big flood and now it looks like a swimming pool. Aside of that, tons of fine sands and peebles can be seen here and most of all a perfect fishing place for those who wants to catched lots of fish using large nets. Each side of the cliff are full of wild plants, tall trees and some bamboo plants. Lots of fish and shrimps lives in here and some of it are hiding under the big stones. Most of the children who swimmed here brought big banana stems that served as a boat were they can ride.
Noticed that most half of the cliff contains lots of rocks sticking on the side of the cliffs. It indicates the depth on which the rock will reach by fresh water. Lots of big roots of trees and wild plants can be seen at the surface because of the eroded dry land. The strong water current always flows near at the cliff resulting of dry soil erosions. Big rocks including its colors and sizes gives the place an attractive views and most of the stones can be seen and found here are Silica stones. This particles are came from mountainous places because of big floods happens here.
This large and big kinds of eroded trees and some big branches was came from mountainous place, lots of light materials like banana stems, dry bamboos and even big coconut trees. Some of it are placed here and lots of fish inhabited and lived under those big roots of trees. Some of the big trees flashed away by floods are half-burried by sands and peebles and the most interesting about it are some of the old and ancient trees are completely burried many centuries already. Some of the ancient and old trees are already recovered also and used as a furnitures.
Most of the wild animals can be seen and found here are frogs, and every summer season they lay hundreds of eggs here at the river. Aside of frogs, wild birds and shells can also be seen here. Every rainy season, frogs are very noisy croaking at the water and it can be found anywhere here at the river.
This pile of stones here at the river is used to placed those laundry clothes. Those who washed their clothes here also piled lots of stones near at the water so they can placed their washed clothes. Manticao river is truly a perfect place to visit every summer and we can relaxed ourselves by seeing lots of wonderful views. Until next post, have a nice day to everyone.
