Splinterlands has been going through massive changes. Lots of upgrades are being made into the game. Some of these improvements have been very significant for players. These new upgrades are literally going to change the perspective of new/old players. It is going to make a huge difference especially for new players, who have close to no idea about the game. One of those path is the Practice
matches. Let's dive into little more and get to know about the this mode of the game.
New Players :
Queries
- Should I invest in the game?
- Is the game worth my time?
- How do I even play the game?
- Is the game interesting?
This practice mode will open doors to countless new players and answer their questions practically. Often there are times, where new players do not get any idea how to play this game or it takes time for them to adapt the game. In addition, they seem to have issues regarding finance. As it requires to invest some money into the game before even they get started. Which is why, new players often go through a a tough time in making a decision. Practice
mode will clear all the doubts of new players and help them forge a new path for them to enter into the game and be a part of the eco system.
How to jump in the practice mode?
It is quite easy! Anybody with a Splinterlands account can easily join in the game
- Hop in the game using your Splinterlands account
- Search for Play bar, move to
PRACTICE
tab, you will be good to go - ATM in cards allowed section, try out the GHOST cards
Now this is where it gets interesting. There are few modifications which will literally blow your mind. You will find the similar screen shared above. In the section of Cards Allowed
you will be able to select which mode you want to play. There are 4 options available All cards
, Modern
, Ghost Cards
, Ghost Modern
. The same option goes for the difficulty level caps
. This is where you get to select which league you want to play. At the moment it will allow you to explore all the five levels. Where you will be maximize the power of each cards. AKA all the cards will have their full potential to use in the game. While, in terms of selecting Opponent
tab you will be able to get three options where your opponent will act according to your choice.
Practice Mode, is probably one of those tabs which will not only help new players but it will also allow old players to evolve within the game. As this will allow players to witness, how new cards are being used in the game. As I suppose this will also allow the old players see what the cards would do which atm is not in their possession. As there are often times, there are cards which a player wants but they do not own that card in their deck. This will allow them to see for themselves what they can do with that particular card and how effective their strategies are. This way the existing players can try out different tactics and also improve their skills along the way.
The battle was worth it and I did won the match by the way. It felt like, it was literally worth having all the cards. Although, there are certain aspects which needs to be taken into consideration. These are just practiced matches which are worth nothing in ranking. Which precisely means, they are just there to make us feel the presence of all the cards. How useful they are in actual battle. And not to forget, after playing these mode many players would go crazy on some cards and it will make them go FOMO into buying those cards for sure. Atleast I am having that feeling lol.
I must admit, it was indeed a nice thought by the team to make new and old users explore the world of Splinterlands in such a way, which will make them want to be more active in the ecosystem even more. Keep up the good work team.
Best regards
Rehan
