What is religion?
Religion is a way of worshipping God,a deity or serving God.
A deity is used in the bible, in greek it is called "threskela" it means religion, worshipping and ceremonial observance the bible tells us through religion or through worship and service to God in the book of james 1verse 26
If any man among you seem to be religious,and bridleth not his tongue,but deceiveth his own heart,this man's religion is vain.
Note:if you are indulged in religion but you don't train your family the way to speak,you speak carelessly,hatred,you speak bad things against people then your religion is nothing is vain.
There is a good religion and a religion that is vain.the true religion is taught through worship and the true service to God
Timothy 3 verse 15 says;
But if i tarry long,that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God,which is the church of the living God,the pillar and ground of the truth.
There is a true church in the bible which is the church of God.in the true church in the bible man are instructed the things that they must do that's why the Apostle says if i tarry long that they thyself in the house of God or teaching of how to behave ,all the teachings are in the church of God in the bible.
Remember,that religion is worshipping God,how do we worship God
John 4 verse 23 says;
But the hour cometh,and now is when the true worshippers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth for the father seekth such to worship him.
It's clear that the religion being taught in the church of God is to worship the father in the spirit and in the truth that is the true worship.to worship God in the spirit and in truth that is the meaning of religion.
Roman 1 verse 25 says;
Who chanced the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature more than the creator,who is blessed forever Amen.
Worshipping creature and not God is a lie ,we must worship the creator not creature anyone who does this things belong to a false or erroneous religion because a true religion is to worship only the creator.remember that religion means worship.
Anyone who worship any other God is a vitim of a false religion.
Therefore,religion means worshipping our Creator(God).....
