Me encontré una taza gigante,
amarilla y con un corazón grande
tenía algo cálido, de olor agradable
y humo salía sin afanes
La miré y un rato esperé,
a ver si llegaba el dueño tal vez,
nadie, pero nadie se ve
y entonces yo me la llevé.
I found a giant mug,
yellow and with a big heart
it had something warm, pleasant smelling
and smoke was coming out without any worries
I looked at it and waited for a while,
to see if perhaps the owner would arrive,
no one, but no one is seen
and then I took it away.
En casa la coloqué en la sala,
para que no se enfriara,
perfumó con su aroma toda la casa
y el humo se iba desvaneciendo sin causa.
Fui a buscar una nube pomposa,
la tome del cielo con habilidad asombrosa,
la puse en la taza amarillosa
para avivar el humo y mantener el aroma.
At home I put it in the living room,
so it wouldn't get cold,
it perfumed the whole house with its scent
and the smoke was fading without cause.
I went to look for a pompous cloud,
I took it from the sky with astonishing skill,
I put it in the yellowish cup
to enliven the smoke and maintain the aroma.
Algo raro pasó,
del vaso amarillo algo emergío
una cabeza podía ver yo
y feliz , muy feliz me puse yo.
Era mi abuela,
una mujer buena,
la taza la trajo de vuelta,
con un trozo de nube que traje de afuera.
Something strange happened,
from the yellow cup something emerged
a head I could see
and I was happy, very happy.
It was my grandmother,
a good woman,
the cup brought her back,
with a piece of cloud that I brought from outside.
