ICYMI the LEO team has been working nonstop on an array of things:

  1. We open sourced our onboarding technology
  2. We wrote and released docs for the OS onboarding tech
  3. We released a myriad of plug & play APIs for various parts of INLEO's infrastructure / technologies
  4. We've collaborated with a handful of Cross Chain Projects
  5. Prep work for open sourcing other parts of INLEO tech and providing it freely to other Hive apps

Collaborations and the State of Our Proposal

The INLEO Proposal is currently under the funding line. With the current state of the DHF Return line, it is quite difficult to get above the line without 1 critical voter. There are 12 currently funded proposals and 11 of them have this critical vote. The line is currently ~38.5M. INLEO's proposal has 35M in votes. INLEO's proposal is the 2nd most highly voted proposal on the Hive blockchain (second to Hive Keychain) if this ~27M vote isn't counted.

INLEO's Proposal

Despite not having this vote and the return being quite high, we continue to forge ahead on our innovative feature development as well as any collaborations we are able to do without funding.

We've developed amazing technology for Hive and now we've given some of that technology back as Open Source contributions + plug & play APIs.

Our proposal is not for development costs but it does seek funding to market our technologies to a broader audience and bring more users, investors and builders to the Hive ecosystem.

Our approach is to continue to provide value in the form of Open Sourcing our Tech + onboarding more users, investors and builders and have faith that the community recognizes this and supports our proposal. A lot of time has passed and our proposal ask is now significantly less than the original (as time passed without being above the return line = lost funding).

If you were on the fence about the INLEO Proposal because of the size of the ask, perhaps you would revisit your vote as the ask is now ~$100k less.

We will continue to deliver despite not being funded. Hopefully this proves INLEO's commitment to the chain.

Collaboration Approach to Growth Continues

Luckily, the Cross Chain ecosystem has been very welcoming to the LEO Community! I'm sure many of you have seen that we've been collaborating with various players in the ecosystem.

Our work in the Cross Chain ecosystem has been getting recognized in a massive way. We became the #1 UI for Maya Swaps over the past 2 months. We've also doubled down on our dev team's commitment to building tech for this space as the Thorchain, Maya and ChainFlip teams and communities have encouraged us to get more active on both the Tech and Community side of things.

The cross chain ecosystem is in need of more teams that innovate, build and push forward the dex vs. cex mission statement. LEO has gotten more heavily involved on this front and there are some very exciting things on the horizon. You can keep up with our Cross Chain developments here.

Since we do not have funding from the Hive DHF at the moment, we are able to contribute code/technology/resources to these ecosystems and in exchange see a lot of marketing collaborations, podcast growth and user onboarding to the LEO ecosystem.

This is a bit of a workaround to the funding approach to co-marketing.

This being said, we are able to do this with these ecosystems because they are very friendly to LEO already and we have a presence in their communities via our cross chain technologies.

To expand our collaborations to ecosystems like ChainLink, Solana, Arbitrum Foundation, Litecoin and many others who we've lined up to collab with, we would need DHF funding. In the meantime, we will continue to be creative and forge ahead. Our Cross Chain community allies have been super helpful in welcoming us to their ecosystem and inviting us to get more deeply involved on a day-to-day basis.

Open Source Tech

As promised in our updated proposal, we open sourced INLEO's onboarding tech and also released a myriad of plug & play APIs, infra and resources for other Hive applications and frontends to tap into.

What's Next for LEO?

We've got a handful of Open Source tech in the pipeline. We're open sourcing the 3 things mentioned above (the other 6 things are already fully live). We'll continue to deliver on these promises made despite the proposal not being funded.

If/when the INLEO Proposal gets funded, we would love to charge forward and get the collaborations going with Solana, Arbitrum, ChainLink and others. We believe these collabs will lead to massive growth and opportunities. New users, investors and builders that become familiar with Hive and join the ecosystem.

In terms of collaborations and growth, we are laying a lot of groundwork that can be accelerated through DHF Funding. We are doing technological collabs with other ecosystems and building & contributing code to those ecosystems. This builds the LEO Team's relationships outside of Hive and sets us up to do bigger collabs in the future.

We hope to see some things change on the funding front but we will continue to build nonetheless.

As always, INLEO will continue to innovate, build and grow our ecosystem. If you would like to support our proposal, it will accelerate many of the things we are working on. If not, then we hope to change your mind through actions like the Open Sourcing of our tech mentioned in this and prior posts.

Thank you for your continued support 🧡
