I recently received an email from Clip Studio Paint notifying me that my clippy points are expiring this month. I started panicking because I didn't want my points to go to waste, so I decided to buy some brushes in csp assets right away. even though the expiration is still at the end of the month, I sometimes forget about things like this, so I figured it was better to make the purchase now than to regret it later. Ahaha!!
anyways I love drawing female light healers so I choose this version character because I really find her beautiful ~
I don't know the name of my newly bought brush because it's in Japanese, but using this really made me think of a manga style while I was drawing. I realized that using a purchased brush is very different from the free ones I'm when it comes to smoothness. but maybe it's just me, also I'm really enjoying this brush for sketching!
While I was coloring, I realized that the brush I used isn’t something I could have done with my old coloring style because of how I sketched this. But I can always make another layer to finalize the line art. Still, there’s something about this drawing that makes me want to color it this way. In my previous works, I always used the bucket and fill tools, but this time I wanted to try something different, and it actually turned out pretty good. Yay me for exploring a new coloring process! Haha!
I randomly bought brushes from CSP Assets that caught my interest, even though I don't understand the names. I chose them based on the previews created by the brush creators.
Using this brush and coloring reminded me of how mangas color their characters, similar to a Copic marker or color pen style.
