Something funny that happened to me this morning was that there was a lot of talk about ‘La Piedra El Aguila’ and I never directly asked what it was, I just assumed it was a rock formation that had the shape of an eagle. I was very excited to see this and find out if I could find the eagle shape in the supposed rock formation. I even knew I would make a post mentioning this discovery, so I came with my Hive sweater.
Algo gracioso que me pasó en la mañana, es que mucho se hablaba de ‘La Piedra El Aguila’ y yo nunca pregunté directamente qué era, solamente asumí que era una formación rocosa que tenía la forma de una agila, estaba muy emocionada por ver esto y saber si le encontraría la forma de aguila a la supuesta formación rocosa, hasta ya sabía que haría un post mencionando este descubrimiento, así que vine con mi sudadera de Hive.
But when I got there, I just burst out laughing when I saw the rock. I could have easily asked what I was going to find or even done a little research on the internet, but I wanted to let the surprise take over, and I really did end up very surprised.
Pero al llegar al lugar simplemente estallé en risas al ver la roca, yo fácilmente pude haber preguntado que era lo que me iba a encontrar o hasta incluso indagado un poco en la internet pero quise dejar que la sorpresa me invadiera y realmente sí acabe muy sorprendida.
But the story is really something else. I didn't photograph this, but a few meters near this rock is a photo of a boy who died in a road accident. It wasn't on this road, but his photo was placed there because this entire area belongs to his father, and in front of it is a field with several crops. It's said that his father carved this rock and decided to paint it in honor of his deceased son. He also feels that his son is taking care of his land, since both the eagle and the photo are facing the land.
The morning didn't end there. In this town, which seemed quite remote from everything, we found an artisan bakery, all very homemade, run by an elderly couple. I tried some cookies and pastries but didn't have the pleasure of trying the bread, since the ones they were preparing were made to order.
Pero la historia es realmente otra cosa. Esto no lo fotografié pero a unos pocos metros cerca de esta roca hay una foto de un chico que falleció en un accidente de carretera, no fue en esta carretera pero pusieron su foto ahí porque justamente toda esta zona pertenece a su padre y al frente está un campo con varias siembras. Se dice que su padre talló esta roca y decidió pintarla en honor a su hijo fallecido, además de que así siente que su hijo está cuidando de sus tierras, ya que tanto el aguila como la foto están viendo hacia los terrenos.
La mañana no terminó ahí, en este pueblo que parecía bastante alejado de todo encontramos un panadería artesanal, todo muy casero, era manejado por una pareja de ancianos, probé algunas galletas y pastelerías pero no tuve la dicha de probar los panes, ya que los que estaban preparando eran un pedido.
I'll be lucky enough another time. This couple was certainly quite kind. I hope they continue to receive God's blessing. That's all for today. I wanted to share this fun, short experience.
En otra ocasión tendré la dicha, lo cierto es que esta pareja fue bastante amable, espero sigan recibiendo la bendición de Dios. Esto ha sido todo por hoy, quise compartir esta divertida y corta experiencia.
