In order to have a special breakfast in Tanjung Pura, I drove my motorbike for an hour and 20 minutes to get to this city. An unusual morning, because usually I have started jogging, but last weekend was different, I decided to take my wife on a motorbike just to have breakfast.
I am not someone who likes to travel by motorbike, my busy schedule makes me very lazy to do anything else outside of that. But, it turns out that laziness has its limits, I feel bored with the routine, so lately I have often done many different activities than usual.
Restu coffee shop, one of the interesting places to visit. Many artists have been here, even the Indonesian president, Jokowi, is said to have visited this coffee shop when he was in Tanjung Pura for work. Honestly, I have known this coffee shop for a long time, because I have been in Tanjung Pura for 3 years. I work at a chicken farm and not far from the Restu coffee shop which is a favorite of Tanjung Pura residents for breakfast of bread, noodles and even soto.
Precisely on the side of the road, located in the Tanjung Pura city area which is called a relic of the past, the old city area of Tanjung Pura. This coffee shop actually sells toast and coffee, but interestingly, there are two other merchants who also help this coffee shop grow rapidly.
Two merchants who cannot be separated, have been working together for a long time until finally they walked together. The concept of a coffee shop that I think benefits everyone, can share the results and progress to get profit. But, not only that, they both produce the best food that can be accepted by many people.
Here they sell boiled noodles. The name sounds ordinary? Like noodles that are boiled in general, but not with the typical boiled noodles of Tanjung Pura. The yellow noodles are doused in sauce with the sensation of umami from shrimp. There are several toppings such as crackers and eggs, adding to the extraordinary taste. The broth from the shrimp will be unforgettable.
Soto is also a mainstay food here, breakfast with soto also adds energy. Beef soto soaked in yellow broth that is rich in flavor, the warmth of the broth that has just boiled and also aromatic soup leaves. The soup is thick, full of spices and fatty. Good for mood booster, right?
Last but my favorite part. Closed with srikaya toast. After a filling meal, I relaxed for a while with coffee and bread. Both of them made me really miss the time when I worked here 8 years ago. Usually, my coworkers and I come here before starting work in the morning. Bread and coffee are the quickest breakfast to enjoy in the morning.
