Perfection is always an imaginary thing, and I already said it many times. Instead of it, we try to achieve perfection. Maybe it's because we want to approach as close to perfection as we can. There is nothing wrong with it, and I think it's good for us, and it helps to improve us. And it's applicable in almost every case.

We are living in an advanced world, and genetic modification is a very simple thing here. For various purposes we use genetic modification. Till now it has many successful stories of improving the quality of organisms and animals by gene modification, and as well as I know, it's applicable for humans also, but because of morality, ethics, and law, gene modification doesn't operate like we do it with animals and organisms.

If we alter the genetic sequence before the baby comes (more specifically when the zygote forms), we can get a baby with the desired quality. Although this kind of activity doesn't perform, it's possible in the advanced world. So, it means we can get a baby with the desired quality. Can that baby be considered a perfect baby? I think it's ridiculous to think about a perfect baby because there is no existence of perfection. Moreover, the desires of people are not the same.

There are some people who want decent kids whose nature must be quiet and who obey all the instructions of their parents. But at the same time, some people think that having a naughty baby is good. Because it makes moments of a baby beautiful and precious. I also think those naughty moments of baby are the treasure memories. So, what is so-called perfect baby is hard to say because people want different types of babies based on their thoughts.

Is it ethical to ensure such a baby who must be talented and have all the good qualities? It may sound good to hear, but there must be consequences for it. The major consequence can be reduced genetic variety, and who knows, it may lead to extinction in the long run. Moreover, selecting a baby with desired qualities sounds like babies are just a product. I think those parents should buy a robot rather than having a baby with the desired qualities, and I am sure there won't be too much difference between the so-called perfect baby and the robot because the robot can also offer the same features.

In the case of ethics, I think it doesn't allow changing the modification of genes for a perfect baby unless there is any special situation. I don't support it. I would support it if it were done only for having a healthy baby. So, I just feel there should be no manipulation of genes for the perfect baby because it may destroy/reduce the beauty of variation of babies.
