Hello lovely hivers. I hope everyone's having a great weekend! Today, I'll be delving into @surgentgaming's marketplace to show us the different wonderful features available already. Firstly, Here's a link to the marketplace. Don't you just love how beautiful it looks? I certainly do! Made by our very own ultra-talented hive dev and @surgentgaming CEO - @spiritsurge, alongside the beautiful @hajime711.
You can download the Surgent gaming launcher from here, which can be used to install and play Astral wars, and any other games the team will later roll out. It's also optimized for any game at all in the hive ecosystem. So if you have a PC game you need a Launcher for, contact @spiritsurge. You can also see other features like Auctions page, total amount of your in-game currencies, and even your hive wallet holdings.
Here's a look at the beautiful launcher.
Here, you can see the different sorting options for both auctions and collections available in Astral Wars. As Astral Wars is currently the only available game, you can only view cards relating to it. The sorting options makes it very easy to access specific cards.
You can also check the game tokens' richlist, and all activities done in the game. Kinda like our own explorer. Will show us that later.
You can click on your coins to buy more with stellarum. Coins are the in-game currency used to buy cards and crates both in-game and in the marketplace. Stellarum is the actual token coin-equivalent. We have the Stellarum:Oneup, Stellarum:Pimp and Pizza:Stellarum pools for easy purchasing of Stellarum on Beeswap. When you start the game and need more coins to buy crates and cards, here's how you can get them. The Conversion rate is currently 1:1 as seen above. Now lets move on to the buying spree!
This was the first card I bought earlier before going to stock up on coins. It's a Structure-type card.
Then, I used this to sort out units.
Bought Alpha wolf
Here's the successful purchase after signing the transaction with keychain.
Bought Electric eel next.
I had enough coin for one last purchase of a mythic card, as they're hella expensive. So it was between Killer whale...
and Phoenix
After some contemplation, I bought Phoenix. I need it far more for my damage-dealing deck. I'll get killer whale later.
Had enough coins for one more purchase, so I went for Crocodile.
Here's where everything done in-game is recorded. Click on activities to view. Even the cards I sold in-game cheaply for some quick coins were recorded.
Click on the specific activity for more details.
I quickly went in-game to view my purchases, and here they are. Now I'm ready to upgrade my decks. Quake in your boots @hurax! PvP is about to get harder!!
Thanks to @abachon for putting cards at cheaper prices in marketplace. Getting them from crates would've required spending a lot more on crates with even less chances of getting some.
In conclusion, I'd like to point out just how much an amazing job the team has done so far. Very few web3 games can boast of having functional, transparent marketplaces. Even the game has gone far. The Mobile version recently being optimized, and the size reduced, with the ability to purchase small amounts of coins using google pay options being tested to great success. Very soon, the mobile will be set for launch on google play for greater adoption by both web2 and web3 players, ushering in an era of rapid progress and abundance!
