Hello everyone, friends of Splinterlands !!!
Many times in the past, I’ve received comments saying that being a beginner on Splinterlands is not easy at all, because it’s hard to understand how to invest your first few dollars to win at least a few matches, especially now that card editions are starting to pile up, and the new Conclave Arcana cards are bringing lots of new features to the field, ones that even us experienced and seasoned players need to digest little by little.
When starting out on Splinterlands, it's better to begin with the basics, without rushing. Sure, it would be nice to immediately buy that legendary card, highly sought after on the market, costing hundreds of dollars, but that’s not how you build your skills on this platform.
You need to start by understanding the basics, like what an Archon does, and how Melee, Ranged and Magic attacks work.
But now, there's no more reason to complain !!!
By clicking Play, we can select the Campaign section, which you can see highlighted in red in the image above.
For those who are just starting, it’s recommended to go here first, rather than clicking Ranked Play, where the serious battles happen, the ones where you win or lose ranking points !
For now, we only have one book available, the Waur Medge Academy, but the second book will be coming soon. However, from what I’ve seen, completing the 11 chapters already gives players a good understanding of how to select monsters on the field.
It’s Headmaster Bimbelnok who welcomes us to this academy, which, in some ways, might remind you of Hogwarts from the Harry Potter books.
But we will meet other teachers along the way, each one teaching us a different aspect of battle formations.
But it doesn't end there !
After completing a chapter, we are rewarded with a series of cards and +100 Glint to use in the Glint Store, maybe to buy some Reward cards.
The first two cards given are Aurelia, Archon of the Earth element, and Dread Tafarian, a melee monster also from the Earth group.
But, by the end of the 11 chapters, you will have collected a bunch of these new cards, which currently have characteristics a bit different from those you find on the market.
These are monsters you can easily use to win your first battles, and start earning SPS, Glint, and climb through the leagues and the Ranking, but they are Soulbound cards, meaning they cannot be sold, rented, or combined, they cannot be used on Lands, and they do not count toward Collection Power.
By clicking Items, and choosing Foundations from the menu on the left, you can see all the new cards you’ve collected by completing the chapters of book 1 in the Campaign Mode.
But all this might change with the release of Book 2, and these cards may no longer be Soulbound, which means they could be combined to level them up, and also bought, sold, or rented on the market.
There might even be Foundation booster packs offered, meaning packs containing this type of card, but all these new features still need to be confirmed in detail by the team, so stay tuned for future updates on this topic.
I must say, even though I’ve been playing Splinterlands for 7 years now, I found these tutorials fun and really well-made and designed. The graphics are amazing, and the illustrations of the new cards seem to be of the same quality as the standard editions.
Also, I must say, the progression is well balanced. You go from understanding the difference between an Archon and a Unit card, to the concept of Elements, and the differences between the three types of attacks, without making any huge leaps, giving those who follow the tutorials the chance to really grasp the rules of the game.

Ciao a tutti amici di Splinterlands !!!
Molte volte, in passato, ho ricevuto commenti sul fatto che non è per nulla facile essere un principiante su Splinterlands, perchè è difficile capire come investire i primi soldi per riuscire a portare a casa almeno qualche vittoria, specialmente adesso che le edizioni di carte iniziano a sommarsi, e la nuove carte Conclave Arcana stanno portando sul campo tantissime novità, che anche noi giocatori esperti e stagionati dobbiamo digerire pian piano.
Quando di inizia su Splinterlands, è meglio partire dalle basi, senza avere fretta: certo, sarebbe bello comprare subita quella carta leggendaria , super richiesta sul mercato, che costa centinaia di dollari , ma non è così che ci si fa le ossa su questa piattaforma.
Bisogna iniziare capendo le basi, come qual'è la funzione di un Archon, e come funzionano gli attacchi Melee, Ranged e Magic.

Ma adesso non ci sono più ragioni per lamentarsi !!!
Cliccando su Play, possiamo selezionare la sezione Campaign, che nella foto in alto potete vedere nel riquadro rosso.
Per chi ha appena iniziato è raccomandabile passare prima quì, che cliccare invece Ranked Play, dove ci sono le battaglie serie, quelle dove si vincono o si perdono punti della graduatoria !

Per adesso, abbiamo a disposizione solo 1 libro, la Waur Medge Academy, ma presto arriverà anche il secondo libro, comunque, da quello che ho visto, già completare gli 11 capitoli dona al giocatore una buona comprensione su come selezionare i mostri in campo.

La prime due carte che vengono date sono Aurelia, Archon dell'elemento Earth, e Dread Tafarian, mostro melee anche lui del gruppo Earth.
Ma , alla fine degli 11 capitoli, avrete collezionato una sacco di queste nuove carte, che hanno, per adesso, delle caratteristiche un po' diverse da quelle che trovate sul mercato.
Sono mostri che potete usare senza problemi per vincere le vostre prima battaglie, e conquistare così SPS, Glint e salire di lega e nel Ranking, però sono carte Soulbound, che non possono essere vendute , affittate o combinate, non possono essere usate sulle Lands e non contribuiscono al conteggio del Collection Power.

Cliccando su Items, e scegliendo Foundations nel Menù a sinistra, potete vedere tutte le nuove carte che avete collezionate completando i capitoli del libro 1 della Campaign Mode.
Ma tutti questo potrebbe cambiare già con l'arrivo del Libro 2, e queste carte potrebbe non essere più Soulbound, e quindi si potrebbe combinare, per alzarle di livello, ma anche comprare, vendere e affittare sul mercato.
E potrebbe essere offerti anche dei Foundation booster packs, ovvero dei pacchetti che contengono questo tipo di carte, ma tutto queste novità dovranno essere definite con più precisione dallo staff, quindi restate sintonizzati per futuri aggiornamenti su questo argomento.
Devo dire che, pur essendo un giocatore da ormai 7 anni di Splinterlands, ho trovato questi tutorial divertenti e veramente ben fatti e progettati: le grafiche sono eccezionali, le illustrazioni delle nuove carte sembrano della stessa qualità delle edizioni standard.
Poi, devo dire, che viene rispettata la giusta gradualità, quindi si passa dal capire la differenza tra un Archon e una carta Unit, al concetto di Elements, e alle differenze tra i 3 tipi di attacchi, senza fare salti in avanti troppo grandi, ma dando la possibilità, a chi fa i tutorial, di comprendere bene le regole del gioco.
