Hello dear friends of Holozing, I hope you are all doing well. I want to share my latest drawing with you. I made a male version of the Ocean Healer dressed as a samurai from the Tokugawa era in Japan, who were known as the Shinsengumi. I became a fan of this group of samurai when I discovered them through the anime Rurouni Kenshin, especially through Hajime Saito. My version is based somewhat on a character known as Soujiro, dressed in the uniform worn by the Shinsengumi, where the color blue predominates. I hope you like it.
Hola queridos amigos de Holozing, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien, quiero compartir con ustedes mi último dibujo. Realizó una versión masculina del Sanador del Oceano ataviado como un samurái de la era Tokugawa en Japón, los que eran conocidos como los Shinsengumi, me hice fan de este grupo de samuráis cuando los conocí a través del anime Rurouni Kenshin, especialmente por Hajime Saito, mi versión esta basada un poco un personaje conocido como Soujiro, vestido con el uniforme que usaba el Shinsengumi donde predomina el color azul. I drew the picture on A1 or letter-sized white cardstock. I sketched the ocean healer like a young man using anime sketching techniques, which consist of geometric shapes that are then gradually shaped by adding lines that connect them. To paint, I use Prismacolor school colors and markers.
Hice el dibujo sobre una cartulina de color blanco tamaño A1 o tamaño carta, hice el boceto del sanador del océano como la de un joven utilizando las técnicas de boceto para anime que consta de figuras geométricas que luego se le va dando forma poco a poco agregando líneas que las unan. Para pintar utilizo colores prismacolor escolares y también marcadores.

I started by painting the skin of the face with light pastel, then moved on to the hair, where I used the blue color that symbolizes the ocean. I gradually painted the hair while also adding shape and color to the eyes.
Comencé a pintar con el color pastel claro lo que vendría siendo la piel del rostro, para después pasar al cabello donde utilizo el color azul símbolo del océano. Voy pintando poco apoco el cabello mientras también agrego forma y color a los ojos.

Next, I added other shades of blue, especially for the shadows in the hair. This was to give it more volume and a good tone. I also used a very light blue marker to blend the shades of blue I'd used before.
Seguidamente fui agregando otros tonos de color azul especialmente para las sombras del cabello, esty con la finalidad de darle más volumen y buena tonalidad. Así también utilicé un marcador azul de tinta muy clara justo para mezclar los tonos de azul que había utilizado antes.

In this drawing, blue is the predominant color; it was a good choice to paint it like a Shinsengumi warrior. Little by little, I'm painting the uniform, first the cape in a lighter blue, and the inner part in a darker blue.
En este dibujo el color azul es el que predomina fue buena elección hacerlo como un guerrero Shinsengumi. Poco a poco voy pintando el uniforme, en primer lugar lo que sería la capa de un azul mas claro y la parte interna de un color azul más oscuro.

I continued painting all the clothing, and I also drew and painted the katana used by samurai, which they carry on one side of their body. I added Japanese landscapes such as temples and a large mountain in the background, and finally, I began outlining the entire illustration with a fine-tipped black marker.
Continué pintando toda slas vestiduras, así también dibujé y pinte la katana que usan los samurais la cual llevan en un costado de su cuerp. Agregué en el fondo paisases japoneses como templos y una gran montaña y para finalizar comencé a dlinear toda la ilustración con un marcador negro punta fina.
FINAL WORK
On the chest, over the robes, I drew the symbol of the Ocean Healer, except it's a badge and it's painted a different shade of blue thanks to the marker. What do you think of the result? The Ocean Healer is so old that it was in the Tokugawa Era of Japan and was a Shinsengumi. I think the only thing missing is a medieval knight. I hope you liked it. En la parte del pecho, sobre las túnicas dibujé el símbolo del sanador del océano con la diferencia de que es una insignia y esta pintada con un tono de color azul diferente gracias al marcador. Qué les ha parecido el resultado? el Sanador del Oceano es tan antiguo que estuvo en la Era Tokugawa de Japón y fue un Shinsengumi. Creo que solo le falta ser un caballero medieval, espero que les haya gustado, en el video Timelapse pueden observar como fue el paso a paso, no dejen de resproducirlo, por ahora me despido y será hasta pronto.
