I'm always so excited to cook this soup because it's not difficult to make, doesn't take time at all (preparation time is 30 minutes maximum) and is super tasty ๐Ÿ˜‹

Ingredients used are;

3 cups of washed and chopped Okra vegetables.
3 scotch bonnet peppers.
1/4 cup of palm oil.
1 cup of ground wild mango seed( botanical name is Irvingia gabonensis).
2 small onion bulbs.
Water.
Salt to taste.

Preparation time: 30 minutes.

I pour 1 litre of water into the pot.

And then chop my scotch bonnet peppers into tiny bits.

I add the chopped peppers into the pot of water.

Then I pour my oil into the combo.

And place my pot on the fire.

Then I chop my onion bulbs into tiny bits as well.

Then I add them to the pot on the fire.

Then I allow all the ingredients to boil homogenously.

Then I add salt to taste.

And Cook for about 5 minutes more.

Then I add my ground wild Mango seeds to the pot.

It becomes slimy as it boils.

After another 5 minutes, I add my chopped Okra vegetables (most times when I've had a tough day at work and I want to prepare this soup, I stop over at the market to buy the Okra vegetables and have them properly washed and chopped, in the market. Let's just say this saves me a lot of stress).

Cook for 10 minutes.

Here it is! Ready to be feasted on.

I'm eating it with Fufu, a meal prepared solely from fermented cassava. We call it swallow because you don't chew, you actually swallow each Fufu bolus with the slimy okra soup acting as a lubricant.

The taste is simply superb.
