Is AI Really That Bad?

For quite some time, I’ve been reading insights and posts claiming that AI is not good for humanity. There’s a clear sense of fear surrounding this technology; many people feel threatened by the possibility that AI or robots could take over jobs, simply because the technology might perform better than humans in certain areas.

However, I’d say the fear we have may not be as real as we think. As humans, we understand that no matter how intelligent AI becomes, it still can’t match the aspects of humanity that are uniquely ours... our brains and emotions. These are things AI simply cannot replicate.

We continue to evolve, and AI technology won’t be able to fully catch up with that, no matter how advanced it becomes.

That said, I’d like to highlight how impressive some AI technologies have become. One that stands out to me is ChatGPT’s Sora, which I often use for my post cover images.

I’m genuinely impressed with it. It has quickly learned to meet my requirements and preferences. My recent AI art creations using Sora have been so accurate that I’ve barely had any feedback to give. It understands the prompts I provide, and the resulting artwork is consistently high quality.

Let me show you my recent creations using Sora so you can see for yourself:

But no matter how amazing AI technology is, we still have an important role to play. AI can’t just create something you’ll like without knowing what you want. That’s where we come in, our role is to give it direction, evaluate whether the output fits our preferences, and ultimately decide if it’s useful or not. We still have the final say in determining the value of what AI creates.

This is especially true for creative artwork, where AI lacks the kind of perception and emotional nuance we bring to art. Honestly, even I... as a human; sometimes don’t understand why certain artistic styles are considered "art" by others, if you know what I mean.

In the end, AI is a powerful tool, but it’s still just that: a tool. Its true potential is unlocked only through human creativity, judgment, and intention. As long as we stay thoughtful and engaged, AI can enhance our work without replacing what makes us uniquely human.
