I thought it was an incredible opportunity when I saw the sky clear up this late afternoon, so I headed over to the city to shoot some short clips and go on a photo walk around the Marina Bay area. I didn’t want to waste this chance—it's been raining non-stop over the past few weeks, and now that the weather was finally perfect, I wanted to make the most of it. Of course, I also made sure to enjoy a relaxing walk along the Jubilee Bridge while taking photos along the way.

You might be wondering why I chose to go to Marina Bay. Well, the short answer is—I didn’t have a plan at all. I was actually expecting another night of bad weather. So, in a way, this was kind of a spontaneous decision. But honestly, I think it turned out to be the right one! The area wasn’t too crowded today, which felt like a stroke of luck.

And when I say it wasn’t crowded, I mean it was only about half as packed as usual—LOL. On a busy day or a weekend, this place gets packed with people, both locals and tourists. So I couldn't be happier with my choice to come here today.

I arrived at the Esplanade MRT station just in time, as the sky began to show that beautiful "blue hour" glow! I love that subtle blue tint in the sky, and there were just enough clouds to add some texture. The clarity was amazing—it made the photos look super sharp and brought out all the details. That kind of light is perfect because it illuminates the surroundings just enough for my phone's camera to capture high-quality shots.

Once again, I found myself thinking how lucky I was to head out tonight for this photo walk. I could’ve easily stayed home and chilled, but I would’ve regretted it the moment I realized how perfect the weather was. It turned out to be an ideal evening for photography.

It was also a great excuse to grab some good food in the city. So after the walk, I headed over to Gluttons by the Bay—a hawker-style outdoor dining spot with food stalls offering a wide variety of dishes, from affordable local cuisine to some surprisingly good Western-style options. I went with a simple dinner, but it was super satisfying.

All in all, tonight turned out to be one of those unexpected yet memorable evenings. A spontaneous photo walk, beautiful weather, and good food—sometimes the best moments really are unplanned. I’m just glad I took the chance to step out and enjoy the city in its calm and glowing state.
