Deszczowa sobota. Przed południem mi to nie przeszkadzało, bo i tak miałem zajęcie w domu. Liczyłem, że po południu rozpogodzi się na tyle, żebym mógł wyjść na dłuższy spacer lub pobiegać. Niestety, żadna z aplikacji pogodowych nie potrafiła przewidzieć, kiedy przelotne opady pojawią się nad Mons i kiedy przestanie padać. Zwykle przerwa trwała około 30 minut, a następnie znienacka zaczynało padać – raz mocniej, innym razem słabiej. Po 5-10 minutach przestawało padać i znów była chwila bez opadów.
[ENG] A rainy Saturday. It didn't bother me in the morning, as I had things to do at home anyway. I was hoping it would clear up enough in the afternoon for me to go for a longer walk or a run. Unfortunately, none of the weather apps could predict when the passing showers would appear over Mons or when they would stop. Usually, a break would last about 30 minutes, and then it would suddenly start to rain – sometimes heavier, other times lighter. After 5-10 minutes, it would stop, and there would be another moment without rain.
Po jednym z takich przelotnych opadów zdecydowałem się wyjść na spacer. Schemat się powtórzył, jakby był gdzieś zaprogramowany: po półgodzinie zaczęło lekko padać, nastąpiła chwila przerwy, a później musiałem szukać schronienia, bo rozpadało się na dobre. Schowałem się w tunelu, który dwa lata temu prezentowałem w jednym z moich postów. W ramach programu street artu w Mons powstał tam mural „Tunel pokoju”. Mural powstał dzięki wysiłkowi około 20 artystów z miejscowej szkoły plastycznej. Najwidoczniej wielu innych, niekoniecznie artystów, chciało dopisać się do grona twórców, o czym świadczą różne bazgroły sprayem, które pojawiły się na muralu.
[ENG] After one of these passing showers, I decided to go out for a walk. The pattern repeated itself as if it were programmed: after half an hour, it started to drizzle, there was a brief pause, and then I had to look for shelter because it began to rain for real. I took cover in a tunnel that I featured in one of my posts two years ago. As part of a street art program in Mons, a mural called the "Tunnel of Peace" was created there. The mural was the result of the efforts of about 20 artists from the local art school. Apparently, many others, not necessarily artists, wanted to add their names to the list of creators, as evidenced by the various spray-painted scrawls that have appeared on the mural.
Opuściłem bezpieczny tunel w nadziei, że mam teraz około 30 minut okna pogodowego. Na moje nieszczęście schemat się popsuł i kilka minut później miało miejsce oberwanie chmury, przez co zostałem zmoczony do suchej nitki.
[ENG] I left the safety of the tunnel hoping that I now had about a 30-minute weather window. Unfortunately for me, the pattern broke, and a few minutes later there was a downpour, which left me soaked to the bone.
