AHONEX, the Auction House Online Exchange, where you can currently auction off your Splinterlands cards and bid on other awesome cards, has already sold many cards, many from the alpha edition, at max level or level 1.
Ahonex is having great success, players are starting to bid on rare cards and are getting them at below market prices.
Why do players bid on Alpha cards? The main reason is that high level alpha cards are exceptional for lands, as their production rate is very high. And the level 1 alpha cards, are incredible to have in the collection, and also because they are starting to be auctioned off for only 100 DEC, very cheap, and there are some lucky players who have won the auction for a small amount of DEC.
All auctions are paid in DEC, at the time of writing this post, 1000 DEC is currently worth $0.95.
Yesterday, an alpha Cerberus, one of the first Splinterlands cards, sold for just 521 DEC, roughly 50% less than the market price.
Some players tried to bid more DEC than the one that won, but unfortunately, they were unable to win because the auction ended seconds before.
There are only 1,775 cards of Alpha Cerberus cards in Splinterlands, and 20 days ago some Cerberus were sold for $1.1 (1140 DEC) per BCX. And currently, the highest bid on peakmonster for the alpha Cerberus is 1 dollar (1040 DEC), so the winner will definitely make some profit if want to sell it.
Another card that sold below market price was the alpha Kobol Miner, which only cost 125 DEC.
Some alpha Kobold Miner were sold 9 days ago for $0.4 (418 DEC). And currently, the highest bid on peakmonsters is $0.250 (260 DEC). It was a very good auction, wasn't it?
There are a couple more, like the Haunted Spider and a gold Magma Troll that also sold very cheaply, at 210 DEC and 300 DEC respectively.

A little trick, well, a very well known trick, is to bid seconds before the auction ends. Of course, many players will do the same, so bid a price slightly higher than what other players plan to bid, and good luck.
